elo uli… next up on the removal theme is black. black is know for just outright killing creatures, mostly restricted to none of their kind (nonblack), or by reducing the toughness of the creature to 0. Both cards are perfect examples of these. One just destroys a creature, given you sac one of your own. And the other gives a creature -X/-X, but only to a maximum of -5/-5. So what is more important in a removal? Speed or efficiency? Take a look…

#5 What Would You Pick?
Monday, June 29th, 2009At least ngpahinga ako nung Sunday diba. LOL… so anyways, balak ko ngyn green removal. hmmm… I could only think of one green removal card off the top of my head, kaya tumingin nalang ako sa gatherer ng worthy card to go up against Filigree Fracture. Again, both cards are situational, but one is a creature and creatures always have their worth in draft. I’ll let you guys decide on which is better, here you go.

Bulletin board/Banner construction
Saturday, June 27th, 2009i am now constructing a, around, 18×48 inches (vertical) bulletin board inside the four pillars of Gu catwalk (the pillar nearest amable statue). the back, facing the cs building, should contain a gu logo, and a smaller ama logo. the main board facing the gu tables has a 18×18 cork board in the bottom, a 18×24 whiteboard in the middle, and another 18×6 corkboard at the top.
most of the wood materials came from recycled stuff from home. the whiteboard and corkboard were bought using matt’s funds.
i would like to ask for suggestions concerning the borders (if you still want a border/if you have materials for a more decorated border besides plain wood) of the main bulletin board, and the gu emblem in the back.
i already have default plans and contingency plans regarding the construction of the whole board. what i need now is more of design suggestions. -pm me in ym if you want a more detailed explanation-
#4 What would you pick?
Saturday, June 27th, 2009LOL.. i almost forgot to post this today. kararating ko lng from fnm tpos patulog nko… buti homepage ko ang
- kake… naalala ko lang na wala pang #4… so eto… i promised you guys Red, and it’s not the conventional red removal you would usually pick (like Banefire), although both cards have an early game and a late game use, so they’re not really dead cards to have. so, for simplicities sake, im going with two commons this time. I hope this isn’t as much as a blowout as the previous pairs.

#3 What Would You Pick?
Friday, June 26th, 2009Today we’re gonna take a look at removal spells. Usually, when I draft, I go for bombs and removal. So let’s go through each color and see the different kinds of removal Shards of Alara draft has to offer us. Starting with white, these two cards target nonland permanents (not always the case), and they remove them from the game never to return (most of the time, LOL). Each card has it’s pros and cons… Think you know what two cards I’m talking about?

#2 What would you pick?
Thursday, June 25th, 2009Hey hey… up for another What would you pick? (WWYP for short). If you guys didn’t get the theme of the last one, it was SNAKES, because of melo. Speaking of snakes, I’ve decided that this WWYP will be Pepito-themed, although no snakes here. (you’ll find out in a second). Hmmm… tingin ko landslide tong choice… pero still, you can’t say. Both cards are very effective in their own right and they have been recorded in competitive maindecks. So here you go…

#1 What would you pick?
Wednesday, June 24th, 2009In celebration of the upcoming birthday for Mr. Richard Carmelo Romulo, I am pleased to present to you the first of many draft related posts to come. oh nooooose… draft daw !? LOL… simple lng, I’ll show you two cards, you comment on which one you will draft first, or which one has a higher priority among your picks. So it really depends on your draft or play style in Magic… None of the “Kung Bant ako…” or “Kung weenie ako… ” etc… Assuming these are the two cards you are considering for 1st pick, which would you pick?
