November 30,2009 (UP Sunken Garden) - The moment of truth, Red Dragons, Happy Sh*t, the first tabbed as the Ultimate Favorite and the team to beat and the latter, the team that nobody thought will be where they are, beating the dark horse and became underdogs, its winner-take-all, no tomorrow, THERE CAN ONLY BE ONE.
It was a good day. both teams on their feet. the Red Dragons on their usual form while the Happy Sh*t missing pieces that help them reach the finals. The Happy Sh*t got the first possession but unable to convert it to a point giving the Red Dragons the 1st point. It was rough start for both teams, the wind back and forth affecting their rhythm. the Red Dragons pick up their phase eventually after a couple of tries pushing for a 6-3 halftime lead via Doms’ 3 pts. The Happy Sh*t are totally out of sink in the 1st and still at the start of the 2nd with the Red Dragons taking advantage and pushing their lead furthermore to 8-4 then to 10-5 but the Happy Sh*t finally came back trimming the lead to 2 pts and the score 10-8. The breath of fire is already at its peak, It cannot be faltered anymore, the Happy Sh*t’s last run effort is too late giving the Red Dragons, the championship that no team has never won yet after 2 tournaments. This is their destiny, it is already engraved in the stones, from the very start, they’ve shown nothing but immortality, they are already near from being slayed but they rise up and took the challenge. this is their age, DRAGON AGE.
Congratulations to the Red Dragons for winning the 2009 GU ULTIMATE FRISBEE CHAMPIONSHIP. good fight for the Happy Sh*t, you’ve shown that you deserve where you are. To all teams, to all players, that has been part of this year’s tournament, thank you. It has been great. til’ next year again.
